Final Call for Thrillers!

Tonight is the 2nd session of our night dance practice, which starts at 8PM at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam (see map). Thrillers, please submit your forms in advance and for those who can't download the forms, please email us.

Important Announcement!

Hello thrillers,

We have about 4 days to the BIG day, and we are all excited to make history and witness Malaysia's first participation in such huge event! Here, we are to announce important notices for all thrillers; dancers and volunteers, as well as curious spectators.

The venue for Thrill The World Shah Alam 2009 is confirmed. Below is the details of event day/time;

To all thrillers who will be dancing on Oct 25th, please download "Registration Form" on the web, fill and submit the form to Florence during the few last dance practices and rehearsals. Please ensure all details filled, true and valid. For adults, please download "Registration Form - Adult" and for underage participants please download "Registration Form - Underage" and have your parents/legal guardian to complete and sign the form. Kindly submit registration forms asap ;)
For those who lives far (very far) from Shah Alam and can only make it on the event day, please email your softcopy of registration form to ttw09shahalam @ gmail . com and please come early on Oct 25th morning to submit your hardcopy signed form. We need that to count you in officially.

Our next dance practice will be on Thursday (22/10) and Friday (23/10) at 8:00PM, Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam (location map). We'll be having dress rehearsal on Saturday (24/10) at 4:00PM, at Dataran Kemerdekaan. Please dress (fully or partially) in your costumes for the rehearsal. Please refer to TTW's zombify tips for costumes and makeup here.

Zombie Costume Tips

Have fun and be creative when making your Zombie costume for Thrill The World. Try to view the original Thriller video to observe the zombies’ costumes, hair, make-up and facial expressions for more ideas.

Prepare your costume PRIOR to arriving to Thrill The World. There will not be enough time to cut and dirty your costume on site!

TIPS FOR YOUR ZOMBIE COSTUME :

1. Go to thrift shops or rummage your parents’ closets.

2. Cover as much of your body as possible with clothing since this will require less zombie make-up.

3. Wear dark coloured, burial clothing. Unless you were killed/ died somewhere where you did not receive a proper burial in a suit and coffin.

4. Old fashioned, unflattering outfits are most effective. Or you can also be a dead celebrity!

5. Add dirt, marks, and torn holes to your costume. Use dirt, black marker, black/brown shoe polish. Cut or tear your costume with a scissor, knife, or run over your suit with a car to leave tire tracks!!

6. Appear as though you’ve risen from the dead.

7. Wear comfortable, dark shoes that you can dance in for a few hours. Heels? Not so much.

8. Add baby powder to your clothes and hair to appear dusty.

TIPS FOR YOUR ZOMBIE MAKE-UP & HAIR:

You will have a short amount of time to do your costume, hair, make-up and eat before we perform.

· Ensure that your make-up does not obstruct your vision. No masks. Watch out for fake blood dripping into your eyes, especially if you wear contact lenses.

· For your hair: hairspray it up, tease it, wear a wig, go crazy!

· Zombie drool: In a plastic cup, mix corn syrup and red/blue/green food dye. Food dye directly in your mouth looks cool, but it MAY stain dental work.

· Add baby powder to your hair to look gray or on to your clothes to look dusty. Do NOT get it on the floor because it makes the floor slippery = safety hazard.

· For makeup: use theatrical makeup, or regular makeup: dark eyeshadows under your eyes, red lipstick for “blood”, pale foundation, eyeliners, fake blood.

· If using a lot of makeup, make sure to moisturize well first, as this will make removal of makeup easier, and will make sure your skin isn’t damaged.

· Bring baby wipes and/or facewash, small towel, and change of clothes, like fresh socks for after the show.

Dance Practice

Hello thrillers,

So this is it! This is the last week for workshops before the Big day...counting 10 days! We're very excited to see growing numbers of reigstration, and hopefully to see more coming for workshops. As usual, workshops on saturday 17/10 and sunday 18/10 at 4pm.

We're having our 1st Dance Practice this week on Sunday at 5PM, Dataran Kemerdekaan. This is a must-attend practice session for all participants, so that all of us can just rehearse to Thrillers and sync our moves. So please attend ;)

On Oct 25th, we're hoping to get our Thriller dance broadcast live on the internet so everyone across the world can enjoy the moment. You're a zombie!

It's that time to get yourself zombified and ready to thrill the world! We're planning to have a fun/crazy session to make our zombies costume together, hopefully soon. So basically, all we need is some clothes and a bit makeup. Get your outfit from bundle shop, or sacrifice your old clothes. Get basic makeup stuff and gentlemen, borrow from your ladies. We encourage you to experiment (be careful tho) and make this at home, but if you want to do this together we can definitely arrange a session. Happy self-zombifying! :D
